Freelance Web Developer
Blackbox Visual is a Milwaukee-based creative animation and design studio providing a range of high-quality services to brands, agencies, and businesses. We are seeking to contract an experienced full-stack web developer to build a custom interactive web site to display our portfolio.
This is a freelance contractor position; exact rate and timeline can be discussed upon commission.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience with Webflow site builder or similar platform
• 2+ years experience with front-end development
• Experience and proven ability with UX and UI design
• Strong communication skills and experience in collaborative settings
• Passionate about creating engaging digital experiences and understanding the latest web technologies and standards
• Sense of design and taste for contemporary style
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Program and design custom interactive web site on Webflow
• Interpret website design and layout visually in a creative, contemporary style and fully integrated manner
• Ensure high quality and consistent look and feel across multiple devices and browsers
• Optimize the display of original online content
• Collaborate with team to incorporate interactive custom design assets
• Help develop and deploy upgrade/migration plans for existing content management system as needed
• Optimize UI/UX
• Optimize website technical SEO and advise on functional SEO and AEO

Freelance Motion Designer
We’re looking for a Freelance After Effects Motion Designer to work on creative animation projects. Our specialty is character animation for explainer and brand videos that our studio handles from start to finish. The work at Blackbox also entails info-graphics, rigging and animating characters and a wide variety of stylized graphics. The Motion Designer will sometimes work on a few scenes or can be given a full video to complete. The opportunity requires in-depth knowledge and proficiency in After Effects. Motion Designer must be a design-driven, creative individual with attention to detail and organization skills. Knowledge of 3D software is a plus.
This is a per project basis remote opportunity.

Freelance Digital Designer/Illustrator
We’re a Milwaukee based Motion Graphics Studio that’s looking for talented Freelance Designer/Illustrator. The designer/Illustrator will work on a variety of animated projects to help develop the creative vision for a project, set up layouts, and break down assets for animation projects. This position requires the ability to envision ideas, create work in a variety of styles with a high level of aesthetics. Any skills in After Effects and understanding of the animation process is a plus but not necessary.
